Welcome to the Williston Concert Association

The excitement of live music, theater, and dance is a memorable experience you and your family and friends will value forever. Please explore the benefits of a concert series membership. Here you will find a schedule of all of our events and complete details about the artists, musicians, membership information, sponsorship, history of the association, and contact information.

In 1946 a group of dedicated citizens came together to organize the Williston Community Concert Association, Inc., committed to presenting world-class performances in all genres of performing arts without leaving the city. These events were high style, with top hats and coats, gowns and jewels. It was a welcome addition to our rural community, which has continued through the past 75 years.

The mission of bringing quality musicians and artists to enhance lives and experiences in Williston has continued and grown. In 1983 the group initiated a project raising funds to place a grand piano on the stage of the Williston High School, the home of the Williston Community Concert Association events. The Williston High School also used the piano for musical performances, as well as the community. In 1984 an agreement was struck, and the piano found its place, where it remains to this day, though the venue name has changed now to Bakken Elementary School.

In 2003 the name was changed from Williston Community Concert Association, Inc., to Williston Concert Association, Inc. The Board of Directors continues to operate and choose the seasons carefully with our community members in mind. Since 2010 Williston has grown and expanded unbelievably with the oil industry presence, and we are welcoming new citizens from all directions of the continent, as well as abroad. We strive to make ourselves and our musical offerings known and enjoyed by all who wish to join our efforts.

Seasonally, five concerts are held at 7:00 p.m. in the auditorium of the Bakken Elementary School at 502 West Highland Drive. Admittance to the concert series is by membership only. The cost of a single adult membership for the season is $60.00, a single student membership is $30.00, and a family membership is $150.00.

Members enjoy reciprocity to three area community’s concerts as well during the concert season: Dickinson Area Concert Association, Crosby’s Meadowlark Concert Series , and Watford City Concert Association; up to 11 more concerts for the price of a membership or patron.

Please consider joining at a Patron Level, as shown on the Membership page: Accelerando, Crescendo, Sostenuto or Grandioso Members at the Patron levels enjoy the following benefits: insuring the financial stability of the Williston Concert Association, advance ticket buying opportunities before they are offered to the general public, additional tickets at increased levels, name recognition in the pre-concert Power Point presentation, and knowledge that they are supporting student Outreach opportunities by the artists through the season.
